East Coast Stroke (ECS) is a 13 piece horn based band from the Hagerstown, MD area. ECS was founded by its leader and arranger, Kurt Nigh, back in 2010 as a Tower of Power tribute band. As a brass player, and a long time admirer of horn-based soul, funk, and R&B bands, it was always a desire of his to put one together himself.
ECS has opened up for Smooth Jazz artist, Euge Groove, and shared the stage with other performers at the Western Maryland Blues Fest. The musicians in the band are some of the best you’ll hear in the tri-state area.
You won’t be disappointed in ECS’s sound. It’s driving, funky, soulful, and beautiful all in one huge package.
